An agreement between Barcelona and Xavi has already been reached and in the next 48 hours Barça representatives will be travelling to Qatar to complete the deal that will send Al-Sadd coach and Barcelona icon Xavi Hernandez back to the back to the Camp Nou as head coach, Mundo Deportivo reports.
Historically reliable Edu Polo is reporting that Barcelona are close to sealing a deal that will send Xavi back to the Camp Nou, this time as head-coach.
Xavi is currently in Doha, the Qatari capital, awaiting representatives from Barcelona to conclude the deal that will see him become the head coach of FC Barcelona.
The legendary Spanish midfielder still has two years left on his contract with Al-Sadd, but everything suggests Xavi will be allowed to leave under two conditions. 1, that Barcelona representatives travel to Doha to seal the deal. And 2. that Barcelona agree to playing a friendly match against Al-Sadd in the near future.
Director of Football Mateu Alemany and vice-president Rafa Yuste will be travelling to Doha either after Tuesdays Champions league game in Kiev, or from Barcelona on Wednesday.
The agreement with Al-Sadd is the only missing piece as Xavi and Barcelona are in total agreement regarding his contract. The 41 year-old will be earning less than what he currently does at Al-Sadd.
