Captain Vicky Losada and manager Lluís Cortés talked to Barca TV to clear up the heated speculation regarding manager’s situation in the dressing room.
In the past few days, there were heavy speculations going around about the team not wanting Cortes to continue but today, the captain and the coach himself have cleared them up in an interview. It went as follows,
Vicky Losada:
“The team has always respected the hierarchy that exists within the club as well as the work done by the club staff. We are a group of good human beings (who respect others).”
“It has been a difficult year due to covid and those who have been working close to the team know how difficult it was.”
“Now there is a week left of this season and we want to win all the remaining matches. We want to finish the season with good sensation.”
Lluís Cortés:
“For a team with such high competitive demand, it is normal for these things to happen in the moment of tension. It is good that they get resolved internally. I have been saying it for a while that changes need to be made in order to keep winning.”
“It is true that all the parties involved in the process must be taken into account. Listening to the players is important, listening to the staff is important, and knowing that the club trusts us and this project is important.”
“The idea is to continue working to change things and it is clear that one can only do so by continuing to work hard, being united and being a family.”
