Monchu Rodríguez and Jorge Cuenca are set to complete their respective transfers to different clubs across the Spanish league.
With preseason almost coming to an end, only Cuenca out of the above two mentioned players from Barça B has received some playing time with the first team, but it seems that both of them are on their way out of the club.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Monchu Rodríguez will be loaned to Girona FC for the upcoming season. Both the clubs are expected to reach an agreement soon and the transfer could be announced officially this week.
On the other hand, According to SPORT, Jorge Cuenca will be joining Villarreal CF on a transfer. Villarreal will pay some amount of transfer fee to Barcelona, which the club is still finalizing. The player will sign for 5 years with Villarreal and Barcelona will include a buyback option. Cuenca played for 45 minutes against Nàstic but did not play in the second friendly against Girona.
Another news that has caused a lot of noise among Barcelona fans is the one of Riqui Puig being loaned or sold. He has been left out of the squad for today’s match against FC Elche, and RAC1 reported that the player was told that he is not in the plans of the new coach for the upcoming season.
