Coming off the back of a good season on loan with Girona, Pablo Torre says his future remains in the air after Barcelona’s fixture against Manchester City.
Barcelona’s Pablo Torre, whom they signed from Racing Club back in 2022, has had difficulties being a regular in the first team dynamics with Barcelona. Last season, under Xavi, he was shipped off to fellow Catalonian side Girona, where he became an important figure for Michel’s side.
There were even rumors of him potentially signing a permanent deal, though a full agreement was never reached.
Now he’s back with Barcelona, and started his pre-season off well, scoring in the 2-2 (4-1 pen.) fixture against Pep Guardiola’s offseason team, finishing off a great team move with patient build-up under new head coach Hansi Flick.
As expected, he featured in the press after the game, where COPE asked him about his future, and whether he had had a chance to speak with Hansi Flick.
“Obviously, he hasn’t spoken to me yet. [But], he’s being very forthcoming, and you can tell he’s a good person,” Torre told COPE.
Pablo Torre’s current contract with Barcelona runs out in 2026.
