Deco and Manchester United executive John Murtough had a meeting about potential transfer targets.
While Barcelona faces a crucial part of the season tomorrow at the Estadi Lluís Companys against Napoli, the sports management is already looking ahead to next season to secure the best possible squad for Xavi’s successor.
In this vein, the club’s sports director, Deco, has met with Manchester United executive John Murtough in Barcelona, according to Víctor González of SPORT. Also present at the meeting was Frank Trimboli, agent from CAA Base Ltd. Various names have been discussed between Barcelona and United, despite the contrasting sporting and economic situations of the two clubs, with expectations that both the Catalans and the Red Devils will be active in the upcoming summer transfer window and may seek to negotiate deals between them.
One name that could feature prominently in these discussions is Mason Greenwood, a player of interest to Barcelona and whose contract expires in 2025.
