In the next few hours, Luis Suárez will officially be a Atletico Madrid player, according to multiple reports.
Having already sold Arthur Melo, Ivan Rakitic, Arturo Vidal this summer, everything indicates that Luis Suárez will be next out of the Barça exit door. Nélson Semedo will also be leaving the club.
Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Luis Suárez has agreed personal terms and will be joining Atlético Madrid. Romano is also reporting that Atlético are in the process of loaning striker Álvaro Morata to Juventus, which indicates that Atlético are certainly landing Suárez.
Juventus were heavily linked with Suárez, but decided not to pursue him in the end. That opened a path for Atlético Madrid, and everything indicates that Luis Suárez will be playing in red and white next season.
Nélson Semedo is also on his way out, with him moving to Wolverhampton according to multiple reports. Multiple fee’s have been mentioned but all reports indicate that it will be between 30 to 40 million euros. Fabrizio Romano reports that he will sign a 5 year deal. Romano also says that Barcelona still target Sergiño Dest as a potential replacement, but Bayern Münich are about to present Ajax with an improved offer for the right back.
Suárez leaving will also help Barcelona closer to Memphis Depay. Last week, Fabrizio Romano reported that personal terms were agreed, but Barcelona needed to sell Suárez before completing the deal.
