As Luis Suárez leaves FC Barcelona after being with the club for 6 years, his friend and teammate, Leo Messi has posted a farewell message for his good friend.
On 23rd September, 2020, FC Barcelona officially announced the transfer of Suárez to Atlético Madrid. A day after, that is, September 24, FC Barcelona had organized a farewell for Luis, where he said goodbye to the fans and thanked the club for the beautiful 6 years.
Today, Lionel Messi has posted an Instagram post where he has written a heartwarming message to his friend:
“I have been getting the idea but today when I entered the dressing room, I was hit by reality. How difficult it will be to not continue sharing the day with you, on as well as off the pitch. I am going to miss you (and your family) a lot. These were lots of years, lots of ‘mates’ (that we shared), dinners, food and many things that I am never going to forget and of course, the days that we spent together.
It is going to be weird to see you in a different shirt and moreover, to face you as an opponent. You deserved a great farewell for who you are to the club: one of the important players of the history of FC Barcelona, winning many important things for the club as well as on the individual level. You did not deserve to leave the club in a way they made you do. But the truth is that, at this point, nothing surprises me anymore.
