With a new face on the coaching seat at Camp Nou, the Catalan club has started the operation to rebuild the squad for the upcoming season, with Van de Beek being considered as an option.
After taking charge of the first-team, Ronald Koeman intends to reinforce the Barça midfield with Ajax midfielder, Donny van de Beek. The club wants to offload players from the midfield, with likes of Ivan Rakitic and Arturo Vidal considered to leave the club this summer.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the Dutch midfielder is rated at 45-50 million euros, which makes it difficult for the Catalan club to capture his signing. With Ajax sporting director, Marc Overmars highly interested in bringing former Ajax striker, Luis Suárez back to Amsterdam, the Blaugranas intend to add the 33-year-old in a cash + swap deal for Van de Beek.
Per the same report, the Uruguayan is reluctant to leave and wants to stay at the Camp Nou next season. If the Dutch club ends up convincing the former Liverpool striker, Barça is willing to offer €20 million + Luis Suárez for Van de Beek.
The Dutch midfielder is excited about his expected move to Catalonia and is focused on training with his current team right now.
