It certainly looks like a happy-go-lucky week for FC Barcelona if they get the win against Osasuna tonight. The Catalonians have reformed themselves back by securing their place in the Copa Del Rey final with a stunning comeback against Sevilla this week. And, as far as the league table is concerned, it only shows signs of heating up.
Koeman & his team fly to Pamplona this weekend to face Osasuna with the willingness to secure those three points which are adamantly crucial for their LaLiga campaign.
With the official squad list out, Piqué has been left out of the squad with Araújo who still has some issues with his left ankle. Considering the problems at the back, a 4-3-3 with Lenglet & Umtiti at the back sounds more happening. But also factoring on how good 3-5-2 as a formation has worked for us lately, it will be interesting how Koeman lines up the starting 11 tonight.
We also know that the team have a very important second leg coming in against PSG next week. A remontada that will need the team at its fullest strength. Hence, in my opinion, the likes of Junior Firpo, Illaix, De Jong, Puig & the Bosnian midfielder Miralem Pjanić who’s recently come out of injury should be given more playing time tonight & the game changers, some required rest. Griezmann can play & must score tonight to gain his composure back to be ready for the upcoming important fixtures ahead.
Having said that, the league table is equally important to narrow the gap with Atletico Madrid & give them a run for the trophy in the coming weeks. The journey is still a long way! Vamos Barça!
