The club has officially decided to let Quique Setién go on the basis of mutual agreement. The club says that it’s a part of “a wider restructuring” of the first team.
Barcelona appointed Quique Setién in January 2020 after the sacking of Ernesto Valverde when Barcelona lost Supercopa against Atlético Madrid.
Setién became Barcelona manager when the team was competing for all three competitions that is, Copa del Rey, La Liga, and the UEFA Champions League but in the end failed to win all three of them.
The defeat against Bayern was the final blow for Setién and today, the club has announced officially that they have sacked the Cantabrian coach.
During his time as the Barcelona coach, he has managed 25 matches out of which, Barcelona won 16, drew 6 and lost 5.
