Barcelona’s Arturo Vidal will move to Inter Milan, with the deal all but official. The Chilean has said goodbye to most of his teammates, and will head to Milan on Tuesday.
Arturo Vidal’s transfer to Serie A side Inter Milan is imminent. The Chilean joined Barcelona in the summer of 2018 from Bayern Munich for a small fee of 18 million euros plus add-ons, and now, two years later, leaves for an even smaller fee to go back to Italy.
According to the Catalan news outlet, RAC1, the Catalans have agreed on terms with Inter Milan over a transfer of the Chilean for a symbolic fee of 500.000 euros plus add-ons. The deal is, according to multiple reports from Spain, closed, and the player is expected to travel to Milan tomorrow to complete the move that will send him back to Italy, where he previously had 171 performances for Juventus.
With the transfer yet to be made official, the Chilean’s current contract with Barcelona is set to run out in 2021. Instead of losing him on a free next summer, the Catalans would rather gain some money from a move with both parties ending the relationship on a good note. The Chilean international will receive a small portion of his remaining salary as part of the transfer, per multiple reports.
For Barcelona, Arturo has had 96 official appearances, scoring 10 goals and setting up an additional 11 in the process.
