According to a report from the Spanish publication Sport, Barcelona forward Ferran Torres has no intentions of leaving the club this summer.
This season has seen Xavi Hernandez depend on Raphinha, Ousmane Dembélé, and Robert Lewandowski. Off-late though, Xavi has been employing four midfielders for a better grip on the game and it has been working for the team. So, essentially, the Blaugrana enter a game with only two pure attackers more often than not.
Barça have been tipped to make a few signings of their own this summer but for that to happen, they must create room in the wage bill and raise funds through player sales. Ferran Torres and Ansu Fati have been heavily linked with an exit but as per Sport, Torres has no intention of leaving the club anytime soon as he believes that he can assume an important role in the project with time. He has not been asked to leave the club nor does is he aware of any offers.
It must be noted that Torres was the subject of interest from Atletico Madrid and a Serie A club in the winter but the club declined any offers.
He is naturally a right winger so Xavi has three men on the right flank, one of whom must leave this summer. Who will it be?
