Barcelona and PIMEC have entered a three-year collaboration agreement.
Barcelona and the Confederation of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises of Catalonia (PIMEC) have signed a collaboration agreement for the next three seasons, aiming to jointly identify, study, and analyze possibilities for cooperation among their members. This partnership, based on shared values, seeks to leverage synergies between the club and the business association to advance their respective strategic projects. The agreement was formalized on Friday, March 8, with a meeting at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys ahead of the match against Mallorca, attended by Joan Laporta, president of FC Barcelona, Elena Fort, vice president of FC Barcelona, Miquel Camps, FC Barcelona Board member and deputy president of PIMEC, and Antoni Cañete, president of PIMEC. Following the agreement signing, the club president presented the official jersey for the 2023-24 season to his counterpart in the business association.
Through this collaboration, FC Barcelona and PIMEC will promote initiatives and activities related to fostering diversity and inclusion, as well as advocating for values such as equality and non-discrimination. This includes efforts in information dissemination, training, and capacity building on relevant topics related to labor relations or corporate social responsibility, along with excellence in management and economic sustainability, and initiatives concerning digital transformation and the possibility of extending the range of products and services offered by both entities, among others. Joan Laporta stated, “Signing this agreement with PIMEC underscores FC Barcelona’s commitment to micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises and self-employed individuals in Catalonia, aligning with the association’s mission to promote and defend the interests of Catalan businesses. We highly value this partnership with the aim of establishing synergies, reinforcing social and economic development in our environment.”
Antoni Cañete expressed gratitude, stating, “We appreciate the club’s willingness to work together on strategic projects that bring value to SMEs and self-employed individuals. This agreement strengthens the relationship between both entities and, through combined efforts, will allow us to have greater capacity to promote values such as diversity, equality, or inclusion, as well as to drive information, training, and capacity-building activities on relevant topics related to labor relations or corporate social responsibility.”
