Joshua Kimmich’s future at Bayern Munich is uncertain as potential departure amid contract complications.
In Germany, there is increasing speculation about Joshua Kimmich’s departure from Bayern Munich, with Sky Sports Germany reporting that his tenure at the club might be coming to an end due to his uncertain future and deteriorating relationship, particularly since Thomas Tuchel’s arrival as coach. Despite Tuchel’s impending departure, Bayern seems open to selling Kimmich, who has attracted interest from several European clubs, including FC Barcelona, amid concerns about his high salary and contract complications.
The club’s focus appears to be on rebuilding the squad and making way for emerging talents like Aleksandar Pavlovic, while only a handful of clubs, such as Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Barcelona, and Real Madrid, could afford Kimmich’s wages, according to Sky. At 29, Kimmich, who has spent nine seasons at Bayern, has amassed an impressive record of 378 official appearances, winning numerous domestic titles and the Champions League in 2020, in addition to representing Germany internationally.
