Barcelona’s offer for Dani Olmo remains on Leipzig’s table, and they plan to go all-in to secure his signing soon.
Dani Olmo, as reported yesterday, remains a priority for Barcelona. Having been in impressive form lately, the Catalans would rather see him ply his trade in Catalonia than elsewhere. Now, they want to go on the offensive to secure his signing, and the offer yesterday cemented that.
Leipzig are said to want 60 million euros for their star man, and Barcelona’s most recent offer does send 60 million euros to Leipzig, but only if certain conditions are met.
According to Spanish news outlet, Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona’s offer consists of:
- 47 million euros, fixed
- 13 million euros in add-ons
- 3 million euros based on club appearances
- 10 million euros based on achievements, trophies
The Catalans have also offered to pay between 20 and 25 million euros in September, as the deal would be paid in installments.
While the player himself already has agreed to joining Barcelona on a 6-year deal, Leipzig were said to be adamant on rejecting the offer. However, reports state that they’ve asked for a few days to review it, giving Barcelona hope that this might be the one that seals the deal.
Olmo’s representatives are also well aware of this, and are going to Zagreb to meet with the Spanish midfielder, who is there to support his ex-team Dinamo Zagreb in their league opener. Once they’ve met with Olmo, they intend on going back to Germany, where they intend on staying until his future is resolved.
As for other clubs, Bayern Munich are, per the same report, keeping an eye on Olmo, though Leipzig are against the idea of selling him to a direct rival.
In 148 games since 2019, Olmo has scored 29 goals and set up another 34 for the German Red Bull outfit.
