This season Barcelona is undefeated while playing with the Senyera kit.
Barça will play in Naples this Wednesday wearing the yellow jersey with the ‘senyera’ on their chest with the aim of extending their unbeaten streak so far this season. According to Sergi Sole of Mundo Deportivo, they have recorded five wins and two draws in seven matches. In the Champions League, they already played with this kit in Porto, securing a valuable victory (0-1), while in the other two away games, they lost to Shakhtar Donetsk (1-0) and Antwerp (3-2) wearing the white jersey, the same one they wore when they were eliminated in the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey by Athletic Bilbao (4-2).
The record with the ‘senyera’ jersey is five wins and two draws in seven matches. Barça defeated Real Sociedad (0-1), Barbastro (2-3), Betis (2-4), Alavés (1-3), and Celta (1-2), while drawing against Getafe (0-0) and Valencia (1-1).
In contrast, wearing white, they have suffered three defeats in six matches. Barça only managed to win against Villarreal (3-4) in the league and against Osasuna (2-0) in the Supercopa semi-final, with a 2-2 draw against Mallorca.
The turquoise green is the third alternate kit used by Xavi Hernandez’s team this season, and they haven’t lost in five matches: four wins and one draw. They defeated Osasuna (1-2), Porto (0-1), Las Palmas (1-2), and Unionistas de Salamanca (1-3), and drew against Granada (2-2). It’s worth noting that Barça previously played in Naples wearing the ‘senyera’ jersey, diagonally designed, in the Europa League playoff second leg in the 2021-22 season. Barça delivered an excellent performance (2-4) and eliminated the Italians after drawing 1-1 in the first leg at Camp Nou.
On the other hand, Marc ter Stegen will wear green, unlike last Saturday when he wore light orange in Vigo (1-2).
