Joan Laporta, Víctor Font, Toni Freixa and Emili Rousaud have been the four pre candidates who have exceeded the minimum of 2,257 signatures necessary to become candidates for the presidency of FC Barcelona, pending the result of the validation process of the signatures that will begin on Tuesday, January 12.
Once the signature collection period ended, Jordi Farré, Xavier Vilajoana, Agustí Benedito, Luis Fernández Alà and Pere Riera have not been able to add the minimum number of signatures required to be candidates for the January 24 elections.
Joan Laporta has presented the most signatures with a total of 10,272 tickets, followed by Víctor Font, who has contributed 4,713. Toni Freixa, who has collected 2,822 signatures and Emili Rousaud, who has presented a total of 2,510.
For his part, Xavier Vilajona has presented a total of 1,968 ballots and has not reached the minimum required. Jordi Farré, Lluís Fernandez Alà and Pere Riera have decided to destroy their tickets in the same Auditori without being counted or validated. Finally, Agustí Benedito has not submitted his signatures.
The number of valid signatures and the official proclamation of the candidates is now pending the ballot validation process, which begins on Tuesday, January 12 and ends on Thursday, January 14. Depending on the number of signatures that are not validated, they may change the number of election candidates.
