The Barcelona coach appreciated the match against the French giants and said that he sees the tie ‘at 50%’.
FC Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman has valued the knockout round of the Champions League against PSG. Despite admitting the difficulties that a rival with quality players like Neymar Jr and Mbappe possesses, the Barça coach made it clear that the French side will not find it easy going up against Barça either. “We knew we could play a strong team. We have drawn PSG, but it will also be difficult for them because we are a strong side, I see a fairly even tie”, Koeman explained in his statements to the FC Barcelona media.
Following yesterday’s triumph against Levante at the Camp Nou, Koeman explained that PSG has managed to be amongst the elite in European football, after spending large amounts of money and acquiring quality players. “In recent years, they have spent a lot of money to have a team that can fight for big titles like the Champions League and they managed to reach the final last year, they are a side that strive to be there every season. We want to be there as well, I see an important and exciting match”, he added.
The Barça coach insisted that he sees a very even pairing. “It is a difficult draw, but it is at 50%. They will want to continue in the Champions League, just like us. They have some great players and we have great players as well. It will be an attractive match, both in Barcelona and in Paris”, the Dutchman summed up.
