Government gives green light for referendum to be celebrated

The government of Catalunya has given its approval for the referendum against the Barcelona board to be held, nevertheless with certain precaution measures.

This Wednesday, October 7th 2020, a meeting was held, in which the local authorities allowed the vote to take place. Given the current global sanitary situation caused by COVID-19, there was certain skepticism regarding the circumstances.

However, according to Cadena Ser the government has given very specific requirements and conditions to the club in order to the event to happen. These include the following:

  • Large spaces
  • Preferably arrive with the ballot from home
  • Allowing there be entrances and exits
  • Different places to vote
  • Allowing ventilation
