Barcelona legend Xavi Hernández spoke during an interview about his desire to return to Barça but now as a coach.

During this talk, the former Catalan midfielder, who is now the current manager of the Qatari team Al Sadd, spoke about his desire to return to the club of his life, Barcelona.
“The biggest dream I have now is to be a Barça coach and return to Barça to succeed. Not me, but those footballers and for Barça to succeed. And, as a consequence, our technical staff, who are preparing a lot and do us a lot of illusion,” he explained.
“I’m a club man. I would like to return at the right moment to start a project from zero. I’ve said it a lot of times but I want to take footballing decisions at Barcelona.”
“It’s clear that after the elections the stage would be set, of course. I’m not ruling anything out. They came for me in January, we were speaking. I told them the circumstances and timing weren’t right,” Xavi added.
In January, after finishing the contract of the first-team coach, Ernesto Valverde, Barça considered hiring the services of Xavi Hernández to replace him. According to different reports, Xavi did not accept the offer presented by the Catalan club and in the end, Quique Setién was chosen to take the position.
