Barcelona have struck a deal with Real Betis that will send Vitor Roque to Andalusia on loan.
Following weeks of negotiations, Vitor Roque has accepted the reality that his immediate future lies outside of Barcelona’s confines. He has agreed with Real Betis to join them on loan amid interest from elsewhere, and Barcelona have now struck a deal with the Andalusian club. The deal is for 1 year, running until 2025, with the option to extend it until 2026.
Recently, the Brazilian forward landed in Seville ahead of his loan move, and was pictured with a Real Betis scarf.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, his salary throughout his loan spell will be covered by Real Betis in full, which is contrary to some of the other loan deals Barcelona have recently done. Moreover, it includes two important clauses: an optional buy clause, and a buy-back clause for Barcelona.
The Andalusian outfit have now reportedly finalized the paperwork for the deal to go through, with the official announcement expected Monday, as well as his signing of the contract.
The Brazilian joined from Athletico Paranaense last January, and has since failed to break into the first team, now deciding that his immediate future lies elsewhere. His current contract with Barcelona runs out in 2031.
