Vitor Roque expresses confidence in becoming a key player for the team.
Vitor Roque is gradually getting playing time in FC Barcelona matches. The Brazilian forward, however, is clear about his goal and expressed it in an interview with the ‘Barça’ magazine. “I’m confident that I’ll be an important player at Barça. With each game, I gain more confidence,” he says. He acknowledges the influence of great Brazilian compatriots who have passed through the club, motivating him to carve out his own path. “They are spectacular, incredible players who made history at Barça. They inspire me to build my own story here,” he notes. “My focus is always on helping the team, whether it’s by scoring goals or providing assists. The team comes first,” he emphasizes.
Among the many Brazilian players who have graced Camp Nou throughout FC Barcelona’s history, Tigrinho admits he sees similarities with Ronaldo Nazario. “I think he’s the player I resemble the most. When I played for Cruzeiro, I had the chance to meet him, although we didn’t talk much. It was just before Barça showed interest in me,” he recalls. The Brazilian forward acknowledges feeling deeply appreciated by the Culé fans. “I’m very happy for the affection the fans show me. Whenever I go to training or enter the stadium, they chant my name, ‘Tigrinho, Tigrinho.’ I’m very grateful for the warm welcome they’ve given me. I assure them that we will fight to win the Champions League title,” he remarks.
